The mother Island graphic was designed to stop the XII - Regional Meeting of Agroecology, which occurred in 2012. The driver motto of the event was: "The land is the source of life, not profit!
From the motto of the event, the mother Island image was drawn. The idea of a whale as the island was simplified alternative to represent the size of the land, its strength, shelter and even if not notorious (submerged eye) the understanding of the environment for her, and that for all his greatness and strength, also is sensitive.
The vegetation that makes up the surface of the island was divided into two parts: the left side composed of hearts with gears format, alludes monocultures, represented the side of profit at any cost, and in opposition to it. on the right side, consisting of more organic way, biodiversity, as more harmonious alternative.
Subjectivity that the image contains in itself, goes beyond the few lines written above, I believe. I can always draw new interpretations of it, being thus the maximum that art is never ready until the viewer to watch, and this viewer that it can extract new meanings at different times, gives the picture a dialogue with himself, making it a living element then I think at this point, the mother island's image and is its role.
